Ms C is at PD in the building this period.
THE LESSON GOAL…
I will understand that the dating scene is complicated, and that while it is challenging, there are signals or clues if you are realistic, that will help you sort out whether or not a person is “into you”. There are several relationship lessons to be learned from this movie and I will be able to sort those out by the end.
MINDS ON…
Handout the worksheet and ask the students to go through it with you, so that we can refresh our memories about who is who and what they have been up to. Please ask for volunteers to read about each relationship.
ACTION…
Ask the students to flip over the page, and point out that they need to be watching the movie with this main question in mind. What can we learn about relationships from this movie?
Play the movie from about 18 to 20 minutes in, this is an overlap.
If there is time at the end of the movie, ask students to sit in pairs, and try to come up with some of the key lessons.
I have printed out some examples if you want to try to assist them.
CONSOLIDATION…
With a few minutes left, ask them for one or two examples.
