I will know what the political spectrum is, and have a sense of where I fit on the scale. Additionally, I will be able to compare and contrast socially conservative and more left wing policies and ideals when it comes to supporting families.

Breakout into 5 groups and record family policy information related to either child care, child welfare, child tax benefit, parental leave or same sex families.
Day 2) Take up the chart pages and leave 5 spaces between each, once students have made a decent set of notes, talk about where Canada is currently at for each of these areas, and where improvements could possibly be made.

I will know what the key transition is for this stage of the family and also the 2nd order tasks or changes. I will also know more about the different demographic groups in Canada and the trends for those who are middle aged and older. Lastly, I will understand that for a variety of reasons, women are a more vulnerable group as they age - as a risk for poverty.

Group 2 scheduled for Mon, and 1 for Tuesday, ended up all going on Tuesday and Monday was a makeup test day as well as a work period.

I will be introduced to the whole idea of couples presently going through either the stage of pregnancy, or adoption as we move to the next unit of the course. Particularly I will see that there are lots of different ways (in this case 5) couples experience procreation and be looking for the impact of pregnancy on the women, and each couple. I will also be examining the new father role of the 2010s versus the traditional role.
